If something we’ve done with your data is wrong — or we’ve failed to act on a request — this page tells you who to write to, what happens next, and how long it takes. It applies whether you use InsideDM to run your business or you simply messaged a business that does.
This officer is designated under the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011 and the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021. From May 2027 the same person is the contact for questions about processing under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
Email the officer above. To let us act without a round of questions, include as much of this as you have — but write to us even if you have none of it, and we will work it out.
| Stage | When |
|---|---|
| We acknowledge your complaint and give it a reference | Within 24 hours |
| We investigate and tell you the outcome | Within 7 days |
| If it genuinely can't be settled in that time | We tell you why, and finish within 30 days |
If we can’t do what you asked, we tell you which rule or obligation prevents it and what we did instead. We do not close complaints silently.
You are not stuck with our decision. Under the Information Technology Rules you may appeal to a Grievance Appellate Committee within 30 days of our decision.
Once the Digital Personal Data Protection Act commences in May 2027, you will also be able to complain to the Data Protection Board of India — the Act asks you to come to us first, which is what this page is for. And if the GDPR applies to you, you may complain to your local supervisory authority at any time.
This page is for complaints. For everything else: support@insidedm.in for help with the product, privacy@insidedm.in for a data request, and support@insidedm.in to report someone misusing InsideDM. Our Privacy Policy explains what we hold and why.
